While in Memphis Justin worked as a set-up engineer, tape op and assistant engineer under Producers and Engineers, Scott Bomar of Electraphonic Recording, as well as Jim Dickinson and John Hampton of Ardent Studios.

During his time at Electraphonic he had the opportunity to work with soul Artists such as The Bo-Keys and the Hi Rhythm Section, including Howard Grimes and the Hodges brothers, STAX Artists Skip Pitts and Ben Cauley, and others including Allen Toussaint of Sea-Saint Studios, Charlie Musslewhite, The City Champs, Cyndi Lauper, Johnny Lang and Nerve City.

Justin has also toured extensively as a monitor engineer for Artists Leon Bridges, Jenny Lewis, Spoon and the Heartless Bastards.
