While in Memphis — Justin worked as a set-up engineer, tape op and assistant under Producers and Engineers, Scott Bomar of Electraphonic Recording, as well as Jim Dickinson and John Hampton of Ardent Studios.

During his time at Electraphonic he had the opportunity to work with soul Artists such as The Bo-Keys and Royal Studio’s Hi Rhythm Section, consisting of Howard Grimes, the Hodges brothers – Teenie, Leroy and Charles – together with Archie Turner. STAX Artists Skip Pitts and Ben Cauley, among others including Allen Toussaint of Sea-Saint Studios, Charlie Musslewhite, Cyndi Lauper, Johnny Lang, The City Champs, River City Tanlines and Nerve City.

Justin has also toured extensively as a monitor engineer for Artists — Leon Bridges, Jenny Lewis, Spoon, Social Distortion, Lucero and the Heartless Bastards — to name a few.
